Treasurer Responsibilties:

  • Overseeing and assessing cash flow and balance
  • Completing risk management assessments and activities
  • Assisting with investment, strategy development, and other business development activities
  • Advising on risk, profit, and strategic opportunities
  • Creating and presenting reports and updates for executive and board meetings
  • Maintaining third-party, banking, and partner relationships as well as overseeing any outsourced functions
  • Creating and maintaining policies and procedures for risk management, reporting, compliance, and cash management
  • Creating and managing budgets and projections
  • Leading the finance team and delegating responsibilities as needed
  • Leading or assisting with special projects
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and rules, as well as prov/state/federal legislation
  • Other duties as assigned

Treasurer Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or another related degree
  • CPA certification
  • 6+ years of corporate financial management experience
  • MBA Degree considered a definite asset for this role
  • Excellent communication skills and keen attention to detail
