Receiving Clerk Introduction:

The Receiving Clerk is crucial as they assist with unloading and inspecting shipments. Receiving Clerk Responsibilties:

In this role, you will report to the Inventory Manager. Responsibilities may include:

  • Signing for delivered goods
  • Assisting with the unloading of shipments
  • Inspecting deliveries for deficiencies and reporting any found
  • Leading cross-docking procedures
  • Inputting shipment information into our computer system
  • Notifying shipper of any issues, credits needed, changes, etc.
  • Helping to maintain a clean and safe facility
  • Following safety procedures to avoid injuries or accidents
  • Assisting with billing and customer invoices as needed
  • Notifying the Inventory Manager of any issues
  • Other duties as required

Receiving Clerk Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a warehouse setting considered an asset
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • English speaking and writing abilities are required
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Interpersonal communication skills and teamwork are a must in this role
