Program Coordinator Responsibilties:

This position reports to our Program Director. Responsibilities may include the following:

  • Planning and implementing new programs
  • Creating a program budget with the help of management and staying within it
  • Organizing the training, scheduling and performance management of program staff
  • Communicating with staff, stakeholders, and program participants
  • Resolving any staff conflicts that may occur
  • Monitoring the success of your programs and prepare monthly status reports
  • Manage confidential files relevant to your staff and programs
  • Participating in fundraising efforts and submitting funding grants
  • Additional tasks as required

Program Coordinator Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or a relevant area of study
  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Leadership skills and patience
  • Experience working independently and with a team are essential for this role
  • Experience in the nonprofit sector is also mandatory
  • Must complete a criminal record check
  • First-Aid Certification and Crisis Intervention Training would be considered assets
  • Must have a professional and appropriate social media presence (or none)
