Payroll Manager Introduction:

___________ is looking for a detail-oriented leader for our Payroll Manager position. In this role, you would help to mentor our payroll team, while ensuring that all payroll functions are completed correctly in a timely manner. You will be able own this role and be able to be challenged by your job each day. We’re looking for someone who can work well with others and will take pride in their work.

Payroll Manager Responsibilties:

In this role, you will report to the HR Manager. Responsibilities may include:

• Planning, prioritizing and managing the workflow of the payroll team
• Mentoring team members to develop themselves as they work
• Lead and thoughtfully manage the payroll team
• Ensuring that team members are following proper procedures
• Participating in audits of the payroll system to find errors or areas of improvement
• Preparing reports, forecasting, and analyzing trends in the labour market
• Other duties as required
  
  

Payroll Manager Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in a Finance or Payroll management role
• Post-secondary education in Finance or Human Resources
• Must be able to work independently
• Must be highly-focused and attentive to details
• Experience using Sage software is considered a definite asset
