Payroll Manager Introduction:

___________ is looking for a detail-oriented leader for our Payroll Manager position. In this role, you would help to mentor our payroll team, while ensuring that all payroll functions are completed correctly in a timely manner. Payroll Manager Responsibilties:

In this role, you will report to the HR Manager. Responsibilities may include:

  • Planning, prioritizing and managing the workflow of the payroll team
  • Mentoring team members to develop themselves as they work
  • Lead and thoughtfully manage the payroll team
  • Ensuring that team members are following proper procedures
  • Participating in audits of the payroll system to find errors or areas of improvement
  • Preparing reports, forecasting, and analyzing trends in the labour market
  • Other duties as required

Payroll Manager Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Finance or Payroll management role
  • Post-secondary education in Finance or Human Resources
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must be highly-focused and attentive to details
  • Experience using Sage software is considered a definite asset
