Logistics Manager Introduction:

At ______________, we make excellent, quality products our customers rely on. We’re currently hiring a Logistics Manager to join our team. This role is crucial for our supply and demand management. You’ll be involved in the planning and coordination of all aspects of daily logistical operations, from purchasing to customer service. The Logistics Manager will also manage our amazing logistics team and systems.

Logistics Manager Responsibilties:

In this role, you will report to the Warehouse Manager. Responsibilities may include:

  • Finding appropriate suppliers and rates that fit our needs
  • Developing excellent relationships with suppliers and communicating about any issues or concerns that arise
  • Communicating supplier and other logistical information to customers
  • Advising on optimal transportation activities such as routing, equipment, and schedules for delivery
  • Monitoring existing logistic systems and making suggestions for improvements when needed
  • Creating and enforcing policies and practices for logistics activities that focus on effectiveness sustainability, and efficiency
  • Participating in recruitment and training of logistics personnel
  • Managing logistics personnel including supervision, scheduling, performance management, and more.
  • Keeping track of delivering metrics (Ex: defects, time of deliveries) and conducting related audits
  • Analyzing logistical patterns and industry trends to predict product requirements
  • Complying with all laws and regulations
  • Other duties as required


Logistics Manager Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management OR equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience as an inventory manager
  • Experience in the ___________ industry is considered a strong asset
  • Experience managing a team is required
  • Strategic thinking and excellent interpersonal communication skills are crucial for this role
