Human Resources Generalist Introduction:

Are you a people-person? Do you enjoy meeting others and planning fun events? We’re looking for someone like you for our Human Resources (HR) Generalist role. This position will be responsible for organizing our recruitment process and welcoming new employees to the company. The HR Generalist will also deliver workshops and training presentations as well as other tasks. One of the best parts of this role? Planning employee engagement activities and events. Human Resources Generalist Responsibilties:

This role reports to the Human Resources Manager. Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing recruitment logistics (Ex: job postings promotion to pre-screening, interview scheduling, etc.)
  • Participating in interview process
  • Coordinating the onboarding new employees
  • Assisting with employee policy development
  • Assisting with training new hires when necessary
  • Organizing employee engagement activities and events
  • Managing employee communication of relevant news, memos, etc.
  • Helping with compliance reporting and performance appraisals
  • Managing employee wellness plan as well as employee perks
  • Supporting HR team and Payroll with compensation & benefits administration


Human Resources Generalist Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Social Sciences, or relevant degree is required OR,
  • Post-secondary study of Human Resources (university or college level)
  • 1-3 years experience in a similar role
  • CPHR designation considered an asset
  • Experience using an HRIS or ATS would be considered a definite asset
  • Some recruitment experience is required
  • Experience in a __________________ environment would be considered an asset
  • Must be comfortable delivering presentations, training, and workshops
