Accounts Receivable Clerk:

__________________ is currently hiring an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. This role supports our accounting department through assisting with accounts receivable functions. We’ll depend on you to help us keep our payment processing activities timely and organized. We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude who enjoys working with numbers and spreadsheets. Accounts Receivable Clerk Responsibilties:

This position reports to the Accounting Manager. Duties may include:

  • Facilitating our monthly billing cycle; preparing and sending bills and invoices
  • Preparing bank deposits

  • Keeping organized records and journal entries in our payroll software
  • Tracking and following up on unpaid invoices
  • Preparing reports and financial statements
  • Communicating explanations of bills to clients as needed, and resolving any discrepancies that may occur
  • Ensuring work is in compliance with company policy, industry regulations, and legislation
  • Helping accounting team with audits and other special projects (as needed)

  • Other duties as assigned


Accounts Receivable Clerk Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Completed Post-Secondary study (College or University level) of accounting principles considered an asset but not required
  • Knowledge of accounting software and procedures also considered an asset
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Excellent communication skills as well as attention to detail
